I am Luis Urquiza Aguiar. I received the Engineering degree in Electronics and Networking from Escuela Politécnica Nacional (EPN), Quito, Ecuador in 2008 and the MSc and PhD degrees inTelematics Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain in 2012 and 2016, respectively. Both degrees were obtained thanks the scholarships of the SENESCYT from the Ecuadorian Government. Recently, I received the Msc degree in Statistics and Operations Research from Facultat de Matemàtiques i Estadística at UPC.
Currently, I am an assistant professor in the department of Electronics, Telecomunication and Networks at Escuela Politécnica Nacional. My research interests span wireless networks, mathematical modeling and optimization of large-scale telecommunication problems. I am a member of the IEEE, the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society and IEEE Computer Society.
